Mechanical engineering at our Hanover location

Dual courses of study offer highly motivated young people who are qualified to attend university the opportunity to receive training as qualified managers during their studies within the company.

The dual course of study links theory and practice. While the students complete a degree at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel during the theoretical phases, they are able to immediately apply what they have learned during the practical phases. The theoretical and practical phases typically alternate on a continual basis.

Combining theory and practice at RENK – with a dual course of study

The dual course of study typically lasts four years in total, but may require up to five years, especially in the technical field. The students receive a bachelor’s degree upon completion of their studies. In addition to the theoretical phases at the university, which include content that is ideally tailored to practical applications, you also receive professional training as a mechatronic technician (and an IHK/Chamber of Industry and Commerce qualification) during the practical phases at RENK in cooperation with the training center at MAN Truck and Bus in Salzgitter. During the hands-on assignments, you get to know all of the areas of our company and benefit from support that is provided by the departments and specially tailored to you.

The dual courses of study offer you a great alternative to traditional degree courses. Starting from the very first day, you gain an in-depth understanding of our company and the interconnections between the various areas of our business. This lets you build helpful networks right from the start, which you can benefit from during your further studies and professional career.

You naturally receive a training salary during your period of study, which enables you to be financially independent for the entire duration of your studies – in contrast to most students.

A dual course of study at RENK gives you rich and varied development opportunities, and you benefit from the expertise that our employees have to offer.
