The SBCALC (Standard Bearing CALCulation) program, in the online version provided for our clients here, is used for the rapid pre-selection, design and calculation of RENK standard housing slide bearings in the E, SC and ZM series (main area of use: electrical equipment), SN (marine shaft bearings) and WG (for maximum axial loads, e.g. on rolling mill drives and other large electrical machinery).
The calculation program is based on calculation methods similar to DIN 31652 (ISO 7902), DIN 31653 (ISO 12131), DIN 31654 (ISO 12130) and DIN 31657-1. It has been adapted continuously, however, over many years based on practical experience. Similarity parameters determined by solving the flow differential equations applicable to hydrodynamic slide bearings form the basis for the calculation program. As a result, this equation system does not need to be solved once again in every situation so that the demands of the program in terms of memory space and processing time are very low.
